Christian Schizophrenia Printable PDF File (8k)

At times like this, Christians can seem a bit schizophrenic.

We voice a sense of joy while displaying tears of sorrow.

We challenge God with "Why him? Why now?" while praising God for life everlasting.

We accuse God yet willingly surrender to the outcome.

For we do not surrender to an abstract inevitable or to the generic unfairness of life.

We surrender to a Greater Wisdom, to the will of One who sees all and knows all.

Praise mixed with questions, and yes, even accusations.

A joy for our brother who is now in the full presence of his Lord.

Tears of sorrow for those who must learn to live without their loved one.

A surrendered, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

How can rational people seem so duplicitous?

Because we hurt intensely.

Because we hold to the Truth, we cling to His love.

May you this day become a bit schizophrenic.

Yes, shed the tears.

Yes, question His wisdom.

And then, surrender to Him who loves you beyond all measure.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,

"Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

Plans to give you hope and a future."         Jeremiah 29:11

May you this day choose to place your future with Him.
